We are passionate about sustainability and nature conservation!
Here's how we have put these values into action...we:
- have built the retreat using alot of beautiful recycled materials and locally sourced timbers
- have planted a large native habitat garden to encourage local birdlife
- have devoted half of our 75 acre property to nature conservation
- have grown fresh organic herbs in a recycled watertank herb patch for the guests to use
- manage our small vineyard sustainably - you can enjoy our excellent red wine (shiraz & cabernet sauvignon) and wander through the vines
- use solar power to keep our carbon footprint low
- ensure everything used in Candlebark Retreat, from dishwashing liquid to cleaning products, is environmentally friendly.
